Privacy Policy for VideographicEditingBot

This Privacy Policy explains how VideographicEditingBot ("the Service" or "the bot") collects, uses, and protects data when you use the bot on Discord. We prioritize your privacy and aim to collect only the data necessary for the bot's functionality.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following pieces of information strictly for the operation and improvement of the Service:

Discord IDs: We collect and temporarily store User IDs, Server (Guild) IDs, and Channel IDs to execute commands, enforce rate limits, and provide specific server configurations.
Command Data: We log which commands are used, the time they were executed, and the success or failure status for troubleshooting and identifying popular features. This data is non-personal.
Input Media: As a video editing bot, you upload or link media (videos, images, audio) for processing. This media is handled as described in the next section.

2. Data Processing and Retention

Processing of Input Media

When you use a video editing command, your input media is downloaded to our processing servers, manipulated, and the resulting output is uploaded back to Discord. Input and output media files are immediately and permanently deleted from our storage servers after the operation is complete (typically within seconds or minutes). We do not retain copies of user-uploaded media.

Retention of IDs and Logs

User IDs, Server IDs, and command logs may be retained for up to **90 days** for maintenance, security auditing, and service improvement. After this period, the data is anonymized or deleted.

3. Third-Party Sharing and Security

Data Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information (User IDs) to outside parties. The only exception is disclosure when required by law or to enforce our Terms of Service.
Security: We implement various security measures to maintain the safety of your information, but note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

4. Children's Privacy

As VideographicEditingBot is a Discord application, it is intended for use by individuals who are over the age of 13, in compliance with Discord's Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

5. Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new policy in the bot's official support server or by updating this page. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
